Sir Alex Ferguson had been advised to sign two legends from Real Madrid by former Man United player Jordi Cruyff.  After having spent time in Spain while he was on loan from United at Celta Vigo, Cruyff had been asked by Ferguson to scout recommendations.

Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been backed for more role at the club on the back of the resignation of executive vice chairman Ed Woodward during the week.

Manchester United fans were thrown into a state of jubilation when it was confirmed that the much maligned Ed Woodward will leave the club at the end of the year. Woodward announced his resignation on Tuesday shortly after the end of the New York Stock Exchange market.

Jamie Carragher stated that Sir Alex Ferguson knew that Jurgen Klopp will be a success at Liverpool. The former Liverpool player said that he was invited to play in a testimonial game for Michael Carrick and that he had a chat with the former Manchester United manager.

He said that Sir Alex Ferguson told him that Jurgen Klopp was a good manager and that there is something special about him. He told Carragher that Klopp is a really confident man. Jamie Carragher said that Sir Alex Ferguson appeared a bit worried and that this was the sign that he was afraid that Liverpool will return to their glory days.
